IT'S YOUR CHOICE

Now it's for you to decide if you want Hillary Rodham Clnton, a Democrat, to president for the next four or eight years. Here are some of the things she proposes to do if she is elected president:

* End the war in Iraq - bring back the US troops home

* Improving our schools - give funding to schools

* Global Warming - a significant increase in green research funding and automakers will be asked to make more efficient vehicles; oil and energy companies to invest in cleaner, renewable technologies.

* Increase the Salary wage for Women - Surprisingly, even today, women still make 77 cents less then men. She plans to strengthen equal pay laws and end pay differences between men and women

* Health Insurance/Care - This is one of the most important issues because a lot of people, especially elderly don't have health care that they can afford. With Hillary, she promises people that they will have affordable health insurance and even if you do lose your job, you still will maintain your health benefits.

The Long Journey

It has been quite a long journey for women;from men opposing women's suffrage to present day, Hillary Rodham Clinton, a women, running for presidency. Men at that time thought that if women were granted suffrage or, the right to vote " it would be the first step for women who demanded FREEDOM and POWER in their attempts to change HOME and MARRIAGE." Most people probably never thought that it would have come down to this point, that a women would be a candidate to become president. The protesting and the women's suffrage leaders, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony made a very big difference for women, their efforts allowed women to vote. If they weren't the ones who stepped up to plate and put all that they had into their demonstrations and works we, as women would never be able to reach where we are now.

Improving our schools

As being the nations first lady, Hillary promoted the Prescription for Reading Program. Hillary knows that parents are our children's first teachers and the early years have a tremendous impact on children's lives. That is why she is investing heavily in proven strategies to get all children ready for school. Some of her strategies are: nurse home visitation programs, quality child care and head start and pre kindergarten for all 4 years old. Hillary also knows that we have to improve our k-12 system. As president she will: end the unfunded mandate of no child left behind, double the after school program, invest $100 million in a new public/private summer internship and meet the funding promises of IDEA to ensure that children with special needs get all the attention they need. In the 21st century, a college education is more important than ever. That is why Hilary's plan will make college more affordable and accessible. She will: create a new $3,500 cash tax credit and create a graduation fund to increase college graduation grades. - Sahiba

Anti- Hillary

Thsi cartoon shows Hilary Clinton. The cartoonist is against Hilary. At first in the cartoon it is saying that, lets have a conversation and all the other bubbles tell negative things about her. Such as, Hilary is telling the citizens of America herself that she is a liar and socialist who hates this country and despises the military. The cartoonist is trying to get a message out to the citizens to not vote for Hilary becaue of all the bad things she does. She is also saying that all citizens are fools and cannot function without a governemnt. In thsi cartoon it shows that Hilary wont be a good president and she simply wants power and she will do nothing to help the country. So will anyone vote for Hilary after they see this cartoon?
